— All disc changes are seamless
— I can confirm 100% that this comes from the vault master reel
— Like other copies, this has the radio bleeding through
— Bleed through only heard during tuning between some songs
— Reel flip in The Other One fixed with crossfade

  1. Thanks for this Mat. Great show!
The sound quality is excellent and I’d guess it must be
    a Betty Board.
Funny how it’s been passed over twice now…. it’s the night
after Tuscaloosa on the upcoming box – and the night
    following was featured on DP29.

    The “eyes” have it!

The Eyes here is a beauty. The transition from Estimated
as so often is a rough affair… am I the only one that thinks
if the band kind of grind to a halt and then just start up again
in a different tune, then maybe the ‘magical arrow’ should
    not be awarded??
But from then on in it’s groovin’
The thing about this show is that Jerry just so obviously
wanted to do nothing but play, play, play… this is an “Eyes”
    which really sings (and swings).

A good (ie surprisingly enjoyable) drums really stokes the
engine for a driving Other One. It dosn’t necessarily go anywhere
unusual but man do they ride that riff to the bone.

Stella Blue is something special and clocks in at nearly 16 mins.
At times the band sound like they’re on a tightrope (the tempo)
and almost come off here and there, but everybody is digging
down deep and giving 100%. (Wonderful to hear Keith so clear
in the mix). Jerry’s solo towards the end is out of this world
and in the stars. A Stella for the ages, no question.

Wait, don’t go yet – hang around for the encore!!
They can do no wrong now, and the Brokedown Palace is maybe
    as fine as any.

  2. Well, I always like to hear what other folks think…
is the sound good, is the show a keeper, etc…

Especially with a net connection like mine!

We should all probably do a bit more of it.

Thanks again for sharing. The sun was shining
for a change this afternoon and I spun the Eyes
a few times while I was out chopping wood for
    the fire… magic ;)

  3. I have to admit that I rarely get a chance to listen to the shows I post before I post them. There are just so many of them that I’m always behind. I sometimes think I should slow down the posting in order to actually talk about the music, but I’m afraid that would mean I’d go weeks without posting. I am always pleased when others take up my slack and write reviews.
