COMMENTS:
-Miss Janis Joplin’s vocals during Turn On Your Lovelight are first -heard at 4:20.
-Most copies in circulation have a curious glitch, with Dark Star restarting after
12 seconds; this derives from a Beta Hi-Fi copy of 1st gen reels circulating in the
early 90s.
This is a flac encoded & tagged version of shnid: 9024
Notes:
Extraction retracking, editing and SHN encoding by A.J. Fink
Dark Star restart patched using CDWAV & ADDAWAV and pitch resampled
to a ratio of 95 using CoolEdit 96.
Subsequent extraction and .shn encoding from audio and sector boundary verification
by S. Kaplan
sounds great love the early stuff, if you have anymore mid/early 80’s jgb i’d really love to hear it, thanks for all you do!
Thanks so much for the latest Dead 69 shows, these are great.
Great show, I.M.O. one of the best ’69 Dark Stars!
Did you post a different source for this show recently? I have a copy that is a composite of three different source reels…this one looks more cohesive.
I don’t think so. I posted the previous night a little while ago, but I don’t think I’ve posted this show before.
Yeah, I grabbed 6/6 but must have found 6/7 elsewhere. Really appreciate the ongoing 1969 stuff you’ve been posting!
