hopped on the bus for my 1st show at MSG in fall 1990 then it was off to the Bay Area in December for Holiday run. what an amazing run as rookie. that 1st nite on 12/27/90, we left our coats under the 4th red banner in the hallway. I asked my friend (who had moved to SF), are you sure this safe? to just leave our coats here? he said no problem, this is not NY. definitely a totally different vibe on the other coast.
one thing I still wonder is, on 1990-12-28, Jerry launches into a Jam out of He’s Gone around 14:35. what is it? it sounds so familiar
