Nice recording of a famous Bruce show from the Born to Run era. There’s some fericious guitar soloing at the end of Saint. Note there are a couple of dropouts during the first minute of Kitty’s Back, as present on the source.
From the CD liner. This is the set perfomed after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of the theater. The first six songs before the bomb threat were not on the master. It’s an incomplete show, but a wild and fantastic show went on after it was safe to return to the hall.
From the Boot’s Top 50. The (in)famous “Bomb Scare Show.” Forty-five minutes into the concert, the building had to be cleared due to a bomb scare. Bruce and the band evidently spent the time in the bar of the “Phhhhhhhhister” hotel continuing the “bomb” motif, if you know what I mean. Bruce came back to the stage feeling rather loose, and several times during Little Queenie, he asked the audience, “Are ya loose?” starting a Bruce catch phrase that lasts to this day.
