Excerpt of a review from the Providence Journal:
The emotional center of the afternoon was the guest appearance of
iconic pianist Dave Brubeck with Wynton Marsalisí group.
Marsalis brought Brubeck (who was given a heroís welcome when he
arrived at the Fort) to the stage, introducing him as
ìmore than a legend.î Brubeck and the group then did a swinging
version of Brubeckís ìBlues for Newport,î followed by a tender duet
between the two stars on ìThese Foolish Things.î Then Brubeck
rolled back a few decades with a powerful, fleet reading of his
Chopin-based ìThank You,î then finishing his appearance with
ìTake The A Train.î
