I just got it. It may be his best yet. Some masterful songs, especially “Miles”, but others like Strawberry Woman and King of Oklahoma are also great. I just saw him on Sunday in Dillon CO. He played a fantastic show.
Since nobody else is chiming in yet, I’ll add a few more thoughts. White Beretta, Volunteer and Cast Iron Skillet are also all standouts, both on the album and live. But the two show stoppers are This Ain’t It, with its obvious Allman Brothers/Blue Sky influences, and Miles,, which sounds like Neil Young playing Down by the River. I highly recommend Weathervanes. Probably my favorite new album of 2023 so far.

Yes! I’ve only given it a couple of listens, so I need to sit with it a little more. But I really enjoyed those listens.
