  1. this was my last dead show
    I remember as it being a lazy boring show – I didnt really like the capital center and i dont think the dead did either…..
    then again it could have been me…:-)

  2. Like I said – not the greatest dead show ever – by far – there is some good energy and a few very good songs.
    But the drums and space are dreadful
    and the song choices leave a good bit to be desired.
    This gets back to my belief that the 71-73 years were the best hands down I mean Go to Heaven just was not the best era for the dead by a long shot.

  3. I’m partial to ’77 myself, they were still firing on all cylinders but had some more songs to play than the early 70s. But you really can’t go wrong with the early 70s either.

    I’ve noticed that the setlists in all these ’79-’80 shows I’ve been posting are very similar and include a lot of songs that I’m not particularly fond of. I could go a lifetime and never hear another Lost Sailor>Saint again.
