Hey, I have a request – do you perchance have the boot of the “It’s Too Late To Stop Now acetates” that you could post in FLAC? I have a version of “ITLTST” outtakes called “It’s Never Too Late,” and it’s not the ’73 comp you posted called “It Ain’t Why It Just Is”… it’s one with this track list below. I saw it on a listing of Van boots somewhere and have been lusting after it… 🙂
Here’s the setlist of the ITLTSN acetates boot I’m hoping for…
Disc One
01. I’Ve Been Working
02. The Way Young Lovers Do
03. These Dreams Of You
04. Wild Mountain Thyme
05. Come Running
06. Into The Mystic
07. Domino
08. Sweet Thing
09. Blue Money
10. Bring It On Home
Disc Two
01. Wild Children
02. Help Me
03. Being Green
04. Saint Dominics Preview
05. Warm Love
06. Listen To The Lion
07. I Believe To My Soul
08. Wild Night
09. I Just Want To Make Love To You
10. Cypress Avenue
Good evening from Florida my friend Grant, perfect timing for this request!
I do happen to have a very current version of a New Remaster by Captain Acid that is just a mind blower.
There are only 2 people that I know of who have reworked a JTT, I believe I was the 1st with “A Spawn Of The Dublin Pubs” and Captain Acid with his ReMaster of JTT’s – VAN MORRISON – “It’s Too Late To Stop Now …” (Acetates) (Transfer from Tape) JTT
There are only a couple of people on the planet that have the skill set to Master something like this – JTT and Captain Acid both come to mind.
(I could do it – but it would take me weeks, and I may have all the apps necessary – I lack some of the experience, though I have Re Worked some Van before, these guys are much better than me).
Here’s the INFO notes to get you warmed up while I prepare it for launching and posting here at Matt’s wonderful site. The Midnight Cafe.
Notes From Captain Acid>
Hi friends,
I love this original album so much,i just had to make this acetate sound better.
I have fixed the phase problem and did some EQ. Mostly by adding bass and cutting some high frequencies.
I also did some level correction and that was all.
Ah yes, and i manually declicked vinyl pops, on the last track on album.
It was just so annoying and the song has lot of quiet parts so i had to do it.
It`s much better now.
I am quite happy how it sound now.
I have adopted the artwork too.
Enjoy

What did you do exactly in your “rework” of JTT’s version of “A Spawn Of The Dublin Pubs”? And is it your version that’s offered here at THE MIDNIGHT CAFE? I can’t see any reference to a “rework”.
Just curious.
Heck yes, FreeMorrison – looking forward to it – cheers!
Hola “InTheGarden” – you might remember I raised the bass and treble and and put the Sony SoundForge Pro 10 pre set “Smooth/Enhance to it.
I did this as I felt the original vinyl transfer was flat.
I uploaded the original here as I look back now it is still better than the rework hack job I put to it.
Tooooo much bass!
But never the less I was the 1st to rework a JTT – and I torrented her at Planet Rock and was worthy of the comments from JTT >
“????? Eared Wanker – doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone”
I remember because I did not understand the word he chose to describe my ear, so I emailed you and you had to explain it to me.
It might have been “Flacid”, nah that’s not it, do you remember the adjective?
Cloth eared.
meaning: “unable to hear or understand clearly.”
YES YES !!!
That was it exactly – “Cloth eared Wanker”
Brilliant!
I believe there was great fondness and pride behind the words and I was very happy to have been tongue lashed by the likes of JTT.
Course, there were many more further down the road,,,,
but none to ever match “The Cloth Eared Wanker”!
That was the jewel in my crown.
Oh the great memories of the grand old days of torrenting madness.
Thank “InTheGarden” for remembering the good adjectives about me always.
Aghhhhhhhhhhh,
Doh!
