DylanDave did you send me this? I can’t remember.
Hi Mat,
Not this particular one i think. I’ve actually been sitting here trying to work out what the story is? I remember discussing this boot with someone months back, might well have been you. I’ve checked my srchives and don’t have this one anyway.
If you didn’t torrent for this then there must be someone out there that we all owe some thanks to!
A perfect mail delivery for a sunday morning
Thanks for this, Mat !
Hmm, can’t remember where I got it then. You did give me the big 78 compilation, right?
I believe I already posted one of these nights before but its nice to have all three in one tidy package.
Thanks you again for another great Dylan bootleg !!
Mat,
I definitely gave you the 78 6 cd tour compl and possibly the ‘Far East Tour’ 3 cd set of the Osaka shows also. You posted the 23rd Feb Budokan from the master tape. I also have the Thinman issue of Osaka 25th, can’t remember where that one came from.
All these boots cover the earlier Japan dates, this post is extra valuable as it covers the end of the Budokan run. The recs are not among the best of 78 for sound qual, or even the best of the Japan shows. However thay are a very nice addition to what we have gathered up previously.
I recall chatting with you about this boot as I had read a few reviews, possibly at ‘Collectors Music Reviews’ and it had caught my attention as being worth seeking out. You don’t see these later dates around very often.
Good work, much appreciated.
take it easy, hope things have chilled a little now you haved moved in to your new place.

Interesting that alternative versions mentioned appear to be from different recordings altogether. I think those may be relatively new to circulation as recordings of these gigs have never been rated very highly amongst 78 recs.
Anybody heard any of them?
I suspect there are nice ‘full’ and ‘warm’ recs of most of the Japan shows lurking about somewhere. It would be lovely to get the whole tour with recordings similar in tone to ‘Far East Tour’ (Osaka) recs
Anyway performances are great. How ‘Tomorrow Is A Long Time’, ‘Man In Me’ ‘To Ramona’ ‘Girl Of North Country’ missed out on album selection remains a total mystery to me
Nice set anyway, really enjoyed listening to 3rd March last night, very listenable thru the headphones.
ps weird and confusing but there actually appears to be a boot label called ‘no label’ nowadays!!
Nice post Mat ! – thanks as always.
For those with limited allowance, what’s the consensus
on the best night of the three?
Could you repost them… no available… Thanks
