  1. yup. this was the first show of the year for dylan, a shakedown show for the january-february tour. see http://www.bjorner.com/ for more than you might want to know.
and thanks mat, thanks for everything you post.

  2. Apologies to Chris and Mister Stu for the delay in approving your comments. I’ve got a new WordPress update and the way they do comments is a little different so I didn’t see yours in pending until now.

This is an insanely interesting show. That setlist is awesome.

  3. All sources are AUD for this show, i have a few in the vaults, i think this is the first one i got. The limiting factor soundwise is the fact that it took place in a gym. Yes it is one show, but for the purpose of a rehearsal for the Paris and London shows in jan/feb. It is interesting but if you dig the performances here you will love the shows which precede and follow it, which are far superior from a performance perspective.

The real reason for the long setlist is to practice the song endings for the vast and varied list of songs performed in the following mini tour

Apparently there were a few politicians in the audience which (if you believe the rumours) is the reason for the repeat versions of Political World!!

  4. Just found this post after several years. Lot of misinformation in the comments. This was almost certainly meant to be a warmup for the next tour, hence the tiny bar location. At a capacity of 750, this is one of the smallest shows Dylan has played since his cafe days (not including the Supper Club shows) and the reason he played Political World several times and some other rarities, as well as the startling length of the show, is due to the fact that this was a public rehearsal.
