  1. Thank you !
This is an interesting era- one day, I think it will be rehabilitated a la “Another Self Portrait” … “Down In Another Groove” perhaps … there’s lots of nice unreleased stuff kicking around and probably even more we dont know about!

  2. Thanks Mat,

Nice to have these wilderness years gems collected together so neatly, and from best avail sources too.

The Gershwin tribute is particularly interesting. Actually the last time Bob performed on a stage with just a guitar and harmonica rack for company. It’s also rather good and an old favourite of mine.

ps there is another ‘Down In The Groove’ – well an earlier mix anyway.

  3. Kick Ass, Mat!! I’ve never heard this collection. I love the covers, especially Sidewalks, Fences and Walls. I like it more than Solomon Burke’s original. First time I’ve heard the rough cut. I love it! Thank You!

  4. Christ. Just When I Needed You Most? That came out when I was 14. I had to look it up. Some dude named Randy Vanwarmer. Typical weirdo Bob. Did you see the footage of him at Desert Trip 2016? I guess it was hot. Now, a normal guy would wear a shirt with no jacket. Of course, Bob wore the jacket without a shirt!
