Lossless Bootleg Bonanza: Bob Dylan – 1991 Electric Piano Man

Bob Dylan
1991 ELECTRIC Piano Man
(Pink Panther Records)
1991 Summer Tour of Europe (Highlights)

Download: FLAC/MP3

1991 is Bob’s most unloved year & the European Tour is the most unloved tour leg in 1991.
Why? The critics & Bob-book writers say so – mainly because of Stuttgart.
They are very, very wrong.
Here’s why.

01.Man Of Peace (06-07 Bologna)
02.Man In The Long Black Coat (06-25 Stockholm)
03.Under The Red Sky (06-07 Bologna)
04.One More Cup Of Coffee (Valley Below) (06-11 Belgrade)
05.Just Like A Woman (06-07 Bologna)
06.Shelter From The Storm (06-07 Bologna)
07.When First Unto This Country (06-12 Budapest)
08.Two Soldiers (06-19 Offenbach)
09.Mr Tambourine Man (06-12 Budapest)
10.People Putting People Down (06-06 Rome)
11.Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door (06-10 Ljubljana)
12.Shooting Star (06-11 Belgrade)
13.It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry (06-19 Offenbach)
14.Ballad Of A Thin Man (06-11 Belgrade)
15.Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right (06-11 Belgrade)
16.Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door (06-11 Belgrade) [BONUS TRACK]

P.S. The bonus track will not fit on a single cd.
P.P.S That’s Bob on electric piano.

  1. Matt, I think it would be respectful to acknowledge that all these Pink Panther sets were compiled and originally upped by nellie at ER. And great they are too.

    1. That’s a very good point. I have a tendency of downloading shows from a variety of sources without really paying attention to where I got them. Everything goes into the mix of shows I’ve not posted until I relatively randomly pluck them out and post them. At which point I generally have no idea where I got them.

Truthfully I generally have no problem with this as nobody “owns” these shows (other than the artists of course) and I truly believe the music ought to be shared far and wide.

But Nellie does seem to be the only person on the internet sharing the Pink Panther comps so I think you are right in that she deserves some credit for getting them uploaded. I just dropped her a PM on Expecting Rain asking if she minds me reposting.

  2. Thanks Mat, and nellie at ER too. Was wondering about the source of these as i’m not a regular at Expecting Rain.
With regard to this one. I think it would be wise to acknowledge that a half decent single disc compl does not make a tour. The Stuttgart gig was immortalized in the Doberman ‘Worst of Bob Dylan’ joke release, and rightly too!

  3. DD, this was a single disc compilation and it is marked “Highlights”, but nellie also upped 2 other selections, Summer tour of Europe and Fall tour of US.
You may still find these at ER (or maybe Matt has them?)

  4. Thanks Arcadian, nellie has done some good work for us all for sure. I will have to scan my archives to see if i have them. There is no doubt that the the US ‘Fall’ tour is significantly better and more worthwhile than either of Bob’s euro tours earlier in the year. The Feb shows were particularly poor, considering that they were theatre shows. the early 90s summer festival shows from Bob are rarely of much interest.
