There is a lot of rubbish written about the 1992 European Summer Tour, like:
– he played festivals, with poor sound & drunk crowds who didn’t know his songs,
– he was always drunk himself,
– Bob only plays his “greatest hits” for short festival sets
– Bob wasn’t trying
– the band had run out of steam.

Really?!

From 26 June to 12 July (17 days) Bob played 11 concerts, all with radically different setlists.
He played a lot of rare & rarely heard material, including some for the first & last time.

Of the 59 songs played (they are all here), he played 21 songs only once & another seven songs only twice.
Only one song (All Along The Watchtower) was played at all 11 concerts.
He performed in four countries (Sweden, France, Italy & Switzerland).
If you think Bob wasn’t trying, you try performing 11 concerts & 59 different songs in four different countries in 17 days.
To do this, you need to work hard & plan ahead.
& the quality of the performances – here they are so you can judge for yourself. I think they are very good & more than often inspired.
& the sound quality – very good to excellent. This was the early days of DAT recorders but there were still a lot of analogue tapers.
This is, in my opinion, very good Bob & to hell with those who disagree.
The Dunkerque concert is exceptional & is included in its entitity. There hasn’t been so much noise there since the D-Day landings in WW2.
