Bertha Remaster of the Master Reel>Cassette source
SBD>>MR>>CASS>>DAT>>CDA>>SHN>>DAW(Bertha)>>CDA/SHN – Sound A
Notes:
Digitally remastered using a custom built Dual-DAW, nicknamed Bertha,
by jashley@deadacated.com. Completed on August 25, 2004.
-3db pure sample noise reduction used to make the tape hiss a bit less noticeable.
Much of the in-between song banter and tuning is not in the original source used,
thus the reason for the many abrupt transitions. All transitions were left as
they were found in the original source.
From the original text file, prior to Bertha remastering:
D1t01 (Bertha): sound system problems in beginning
D1t09 (TLEO): cut/splice @ 1:04; subscecond static @ 2:24
D3t03 (Jam): Splice @ 4:24; pop/possible splice @ 21:36

Source Info:
Primary Source:
Betty’s 10″ MSR -> PCM -> DAT supplies the 2nd Set
Secondary Sources:
MSR -> C -> DAT (gd73-03-24.sbd.hamilton.shnid1216) supplies the majority of the 1st set, Berth (t01) thru 7:38 of “Here Comes Sunshine” (t15), the patch in “Truckin” from 8:05 thru 9:28 as well as the tuning and first few beats of “Johnn B. Goode” (t31)
Betty’s 10″ MSR -> PCM -> S/PDIF out -> disk -> digital noise reduction w/Sound Forge 6.0 (shnid83407) supplies from 7:38 of “Here Comes Sunshine” (t15)thru the end of the 1st Set
Transfer Info:
DAT -> Sony PCM R500-> Tascam DA-3000-> Adobe Audition 3.0-> TLH flac16
Notes:
– Thanks to Charlie Miller for the transfer
– Thanks to the folks responsible for gd73-03-24.sbd.hamilton.shnid1216
– Thanks to the folks involved in the WBOTB Project for gd73-03-24.sbd.cantor.diebert.shnid83407
– This composite utilizes 3 sources to provide a virtually complete show in one fileset, utilizing the best available sources as of 10/2017
– The Betty Board in general circulation has digital noise reduction processing applied to it
This transcription of the 2nd Set Betty Board does not have digital noise reduction
– The Betty Board in general circulation (shnid83407) has a cut in “Truckin'”
– “Bertha” (t01)had level/mix fluctuations for the first 1:30 or so. The level fluctuations were minimized
– shnid1216 source was missing most of the between song tunings/banter and had some abrupt between
song transitions,these transitions have been smoothed
– First several seconds of “Here Comes Sunshine” (t15) are missing
– While all copies had level/mix issues in the beginning of “Promised Land” (t19),the Betty Boards exhibited
more severe level/mix fluctuations than the shnid1216 MSR->C source, so the tuning and first 0:16 of
“Promised Land” are from the shnid1216 source and the level fluctuations were minimized
– Truckin’-> Jam-> Spanish Jam (t27)clocks in at 32:37

Wow, so here it is. Four sources to choose from; I always go for the Charlie Miller version when available. Thank you so much for transferring and posting all of this. I saw two other shows in March of ‘3, on 3/16 and 3/31 so this is a period I really appreciate. The band was really on, as was the case in so much of 1973. This going to make for a good long listen! Thanks!
thanks for the choices of this incredible show.have source 1,downloaded source 4.
