One noticeable thing about the 2002 gigs is the convey length. Back then it was typically at least 20 songs, lasting 140-150 minutes. His most recent gigs seem to be less than 20 songs, typically about 100 minutes.
Sadly still 100 minutes more than we can expect from Tom Petty now though.

Stupid auto correct :). I was just thinking about concert lengths the other day. It is interesting how they change. With Dylan it is understandable that they’ve gotten shorter, I mean dude ain’t getting any younger 🙂
Yet Paul McCartney’s shows are still pretty long, as are Roger Waters’ shows. They are all war babies. The Stones don’t look like winding down either.
Neither of those artists tour nearly as much as Bob does. I’d love for him to play longer shows, but I’m not about to complain that a 79 year old man who still hits the road for large chunks of the year doesn’t play for as long as he used to.
