Neil Young – Westwood One Superstar Concert Series 97-36

Neil Young
Superstar Concert Series
97-36

This is from an original copy of the radio show. It has not been altered. It includes national commercials and the songs are grouped as they were in the broadcast. Nothing has been changed. I own hundreds of original radio shows which I am posting. I know there will be people who want them with the commercials edited out and the songs indexed. Could I do that for any certain one? Yes. Could I do that for hundreds? No. Also, I wanted to present them in their original format. You are welcome to edit it however you wish. I have
included a copy of the original cue sheet. The info I am giving was either on the cues or on the discs themselves, but I have not verified it to be correct. It would not surprise me if it is not. Unlike what I have done with posts at other sites I will only be posting these once. Once they are upped I will be deleting the files.

This particular one says it was recorded at Cardinal Stadium in Louisville for Farm Aid on 1 October 1995 and at the Phoenix Fesival in Stratford-upon-Avon in England 19 July 1996. Original airdate was the week of September 1st, 1997.
CD > EAC > FLAC 8.
Songs:

Track 8 is Slip Away, not Music Arcade as listed on the cue sheet.

Additional notes by tunic, 23 June 2008:

After downloading this from Dime (as torrent #202178), I noticed the tracks were not all seperated, and what’s worse, they contained commercials and DJ banter. So I’ve used TLH to convert to wav, then split the tracks properly with CD Wave, and converted back to flac with TLH. I split the banter from the music, but no, I did not split the DJ banter from the commercials (since frankly, I don’t care about them both). The splitted files I renamed, and added tags with MP3Tag, and moved each set to a subfolder. Fingerprints were created for each set.

So the complete lineage for these tracks would be something like this:
CD > EAC > FLAC 8 > TLH > CD Wave > TLH > MP3Tag > Flac level 6.

The files track04 until track17 were left untouched. These are seperate commercials, and were already included in the previous torrent. I left them in the main folder on purpose, so you don’t have to download them again. Also the name of the main folder is still the same, so you should be able to resume without problems.

I edited the above tracklisting to the new track splits, the intersections indicate the locations of the original tracksplits. I also removed the original fingerprints from the text file (they didn’t match anymore anyways), and move the EAC log to a seperate text file (they don’t match really either anymore, but you may want to keep it still).
