Welcome to the new Midnight Cafe. Wait, no, that’s not right. Welcome to The Midnight Music Cafe! Don’t you just love that new logo? That’s about as fancy as I get with my artistic skills.
I want to thank everyone for bearing with me during this transition. Everything is still a work in progress, but I think things are shaping up nicely. The Midnight Music Cafe will be for ROIOs only. All my other movie, music, pop culture, and personal chatter will go on the old Midnight Cafe site.
Everything should work pretty much the same way it did on the old site. I’ll be posting (more or less) a few shows every day. New shows get a new post that will show up at the top of the page. Old shows with bad links will receive fresh download links upon request. Whenever that happens I’ll do a “shows of the day” post so you can easily see which shows have new links.
You may subscribe to the site (and receive an email whenever I post something new) by entering your email into the little box in the sidebar next to the word “Subscribe.”
This is very much a work in progress. I am still importing artists from the old site. This will take me a few weeks. But I think most of the big players are already here. I still have a lot of work to do on the Artist’s Pages. I hope to get that up and running once I’ve got everything imported.
Categories and tags are being imported. I don’t think those are used very often, but they can be a great way to dig into my archives. All of the old comments have been imported as well which I just love.
Please let me know if you run into any problems with the site or if you have any questions. I’m not particularly technologically efficient, but I’ll do my best to solve any problems.
I hope you enjoy the new site.
thanks for everything you do 🙂
Again, thank you!
Looking good Mat! Thanks a lot for letting me join.
Thanks Mat. To quote the great philosopher Groucho Marx…””I refuse to join any club that would have me…” Lol
Now you will sleep better avoiding what the late great George Harrison called the “‘Sue Me, Sue You Blues”.
On a personal note I would like to echo what I’m sure everyone in the community feels..we greatly appreciate your love of music, films and life. Your tireless work to provide everyone with fantastic music & exceptional movie reviews is something I look forward to everyday when I open my email…that and all the Penis Enlargement adverts…Lol…(sorry always the joker.)
Take care my friend.

Many thanks for having me, Matt! Well, that was all very painless at this end! I’ll look forward to all of your tantalising titbits and wish you good luck with everything. Your secret will be safe with me!
Thanks again,
Hi Mat, thank you it looks awesome. Hope you are well.
Thanks very much for all of this work Mat! I know it takes a lot and myself (and many others who may or may not comment!) really appreciate it.
Thank you Mat, Great to be here, The site is looking good. Wishing you all the best in the future
Easy peasy Mat tho to make all my fave sites fit on the browser toolbar the old link is still named Midnite Cafe while this one is shortened to Midnite Moonlight cuz Peter Rowan/O&ITW – also Moonlight ≠ Moonlite
Hi Mat I like the new typo. Its clear and easy to read, esp. if you wear glasses
Congrats and thanks! Keep on truckin’.
Hi, Mat –
I was able to access the new site with no problems. All looks good from this end. Thanks for all your hard work.

Hey Matt, Just Curious, i just downloaded the amanda shires show and you made a reference to her opening for Todd. i was wondering if you ever posted that 2013 todd snider show? regards.
Sorry I don’t have that one.
Sorry for my lateness in replying… Love the look of the new site Mat. Again, thanks for all your hard work and commitment.
Thanks Mat!
Hey Mat,
Thanks for your help in getting me back on track…being a little late to the new site, and being a completist for a bunch of bands, Jerry and the Boys most specifically, can you tell me when the new site launched / the old site ended? Looks like around August 5 but looks like you can also go back further if you want.
Thanks and cheers! And thanks again for all the great music over the years!!
I started the new site somewhere about July 25.
Great, thanks Mat!!
Mat,
Thanks for all your hard work for us.
One question, when you post a file, can you say whether it is a soundboard or and audience recording please?
I pretty much already do. If I have a single source then you get all the source info I have in the post. If I have multiple sources then all you have to do is check the source notes inside Google Drive to see what it is.
I know sometimes there aren’t any notes or the notes aren’t clear as to the actual source. In those cases I’m afraid I don’t have time to go in and try and listen and figure out what it is.
However if you are iffy on whether or not you want to download a full show not knowing how it sounds. Feel free to ask. I’ll try to on those specific shows to give it a listen and let you know what I think about it.
You don’t have it…yet, because i haven’t processed it yet. It will be here eventually.
