To move the music from the old blog to this one I’ve had to use the WordPress export/import tools. The blog was too big to move everything at once so I’ve been doing it by artist. I have now completed all of them.
Sort of.
I was importing by category. That got most of the shows. But there was a time when whenever I did a “Reupload Bonanza” I didn’t use an artist category. There are also times when I simply forgot to add a category. So I’ll now be going through the old blog looking for those and getting them imported.
There are still some shows that were imported that still exist in “private” mode. Most of those are shows I no longer own, but I’ll make a note of that and get them in “public” mode.
My next major project is to get the artist’s pages in working order. That will take a long while as that means adding good links to all those pages and then adding in all the shows that never made it to an artist’s page and adding new pages for new artists etc. So expect to see a lot of that over the next several weeks.
But we are getting there. This site is starting to really take shape.
How are you all liking it?
So far it’s been great!
It’s looking GOOD, Mat. The artwork photos make a big impact.
Mat…I love it! The time & effort you give for others to enjoy great music is greatly appreciated. Your gonna need some R&R after this massive job. At least you’ll keep the Net Sheriff outta your hair.
Thanks Again.
Mat,
THANK YOU, you are doing an amazing amount of work to get the new site
all set up. It is very much appreciated.
Bob W.

I love this new blog!
Yes I love being able to include artwork now. And since you created a lot of it, thank you!
Thanks everybody. I’m glad everyone seems to be enjoying the new site.
I really appreciate all of the hard work and manhours (can I say that? hahaha) that you have obviously put in. Your masterplan seems to be working very well! Brilliant site to search for shows.
The new blog is fantastic. Like oldneumanntapr said, I too enjoy the artwork. The selection of artists is fantastic, and all is easy to operate. Thanks very much for all your work on this !
It’s great! Thanks for all your hard work
You’re much smarter and more capable than I can hope to be, for certain!
Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication to preserve the past into the future Mat.
Don’t know if I will ever feel secure in knowing what I have missed. Just the other day I discovered a soomlos version of a show I didn’t have.
Makes me still NEED to pay attention.
Damn it!, lol
Thanks remain, as always…
I think we all appreciate the work you have put into this Mat, it looks great.
Hey Mat,
I appreciate both blogs, and I must say I do like them being “church and state.” If I feel like reading movie reviews I go there, for music I go here. I check both almost every day. And all the oldneumanntapr fresh releases are great. My kudos to him as well!
Thanks for all your work!
The site looks great and works great! Thanks for all the hard work!
Site is looking great, and so much to look forward to as more content transfers.
The ‘Artists Pages’ will be a great addition making access so much easier especially when looking for that missed gem!!
So appreciative of all of your work!! Thank you.
I am working on the Artists Pages. It is going to take some time to get them all transferred but I’m working on it. You can click on the Artist Page tab at the top to see which ones I’ve completed.
