I saw Van at the Beacon Theater in ’89 from the front row, have to find that recording one of these days, but we are going back 44 years for this one. Recorded as broadcast on KRQR (106.7 FM) in Orland California, and is a 1st gen copy. Nice performance but as we all know these KBFH shows are never complete performances. Enjoy!

I will provide as much info as I can but if anyone can add any insight to the recordings it would be appreciated. If the same recording is circulating in better quality please let me know as I have no intention of polluting the trading pool. A list of all recordings in this series is included with the torrent.
All recordings are kept as original as possible with minimal processing. Unless noted otherwise the only adjustments made are Automatic Phase Correction, Level adjustments and cleaning of any rough or abrupt cuts.

If someone asked me my favorite boot of all time, in an elevator, and I had to name it by the time the next floor arrived … I say it’s this one. Or at least, my favorite single SONG off any boot – definitely the version of “Caravan” here. (Although the versions of “Wavelength,” “Kingdom Hall” and “Hungry For Your Love” also run high in my mental list.)Certainly, it’s my favorite Van boot.OK so – now that I’ve built it up too much, Van fans – don’t miss this one!
Hi Matt. This is indeed a great show, BUT it was 01/11/78, not 11/11/78. This was the early show broadcast by KBFH while the late show had 15 tracks and was broadcast by WNEW. I’m guessing this was maybe just a typo.
