I watched 31 movies in July. 17 were made before I was born. 27 were new to me.
I don’t have much more to say about it. There was no theme. I reviewed quite a few movies for Cinema Sentries. I visited my family in Kentucky, which cut down on my viewing a big (though I still averaged out to one movie per day). I saw The Odyssey in the theater. It was a good month.
We watched some more classic Doctor Who, which bumped Tom Baker back into the lead of the most-watched actors category with 9 films. Robert Ryan is now tied for third place with five films watched. Since ImgBox is still down, I can’t see the images of last month’s most-watched, so I can’t really tell what else changed.
The director’s most watched category has changed quite a bit, I think. I love that there are guys like Mervyn LeRoy and Gilles Grangier in the race. I’ve heard of Mervyn LeRoy, but I’d be hard-pressed to name any of his films, and I don’t know Grangier at all, so I’ve just sort of randomly watched some of their films.
