*I missed the first few seconds of Love and Only Love while getting to my spot to watch the show. The people around us were really chatty, especially during Separate Ways. They wouldn’t shut up and I couldn’t move anywhere else. It’s not the entire song. Eventually they left.

This recording might have level issues. Anyone who wants to tinker with it, feel free. I didn’t do much to it except quickly track it.

It drizzled for the first 30 minutes of the show, which resulted in people opening umbrellas. Seeing a show in Istanbul is different from seeing one in the States. You wouldn’t get away with umbrellas and so much talking and checking Facebook, etc. Also, as is customary, people sing the three songs they know, loudly. This happened during the acoustic tunes and Rockin’ in the Free World. It’s not overpowering and I guess you’d get the same at a Springsteen concert in the Meadowlands.

All in all a very nice show with some excellent guitar work. The crowd were well into it. Until another perhaps better recording surfaces, this will do nicely as an idea of how Neil sounded here in Istanbul.
