Wow, I can’t thank you enough for this Mat. I’ve been collecting Van boots for quite a while and have gotten so many from your site, and I’d say this falls in the top 5-10 due to how early it is, how relatively clear it is for an Aud tape, the setlist (He Ain’t Give You None? Amazing) and the fact that you posted it in a SHN option for full fidelity.
Thanks for kicking off the weekend just right!
thanks for the van!
Hi. I’d really appreciate a repost of this one, if possible. Many thanks, again.
I second that request, would love it! The performance from a day earlier is in my top 3 favourite Van performances.
Cheers!

Many thanks – great to hear the first live performance of Jackie Wilson…
Incidentally, the line up is not as listed here – it was some of the people who had been recording Saint Dominic’s Preview at that time: Jack Schroer, Jules Broussard, Doug Messenger, Tom Salisbury, Bill Church, Gary Mallaber, with (probably) Janet Planet, Ellen Schroer and Mark Springer on backing vocals. I’m about to publish a book called Saint Dominic’s Flashback and have been tapping the memories of a number of the musicians…
Thanks for the information.
Very, very nice! If only a soundboard tape of these shows existed haha!

Any chance you would be able to do a re-up of a re-up?

Yes, eventually. I’m still working out the kinks of this new internet and just trying to get back in the swing of things.
I’ve decided I won’t reupload most of my shows but I will reup Dylan/Grateful Dead/Van Morrison shows. So you are in luck. But give me several weeks to get to this one.

You are welcome. Like everybody I’m hoping our good friend Free Morrison comes back soon. I’m trying to upload at least one VM show a week but I know that’s not nearly as much as everybody would like.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but, I have been organizing my Van boots and noticed that the title says 4/27/72, but the artwork is for 4/28/72

The show should be 4/27, I think I just got the artwork wrong.
