  2. This is a great one… although the notes above comment that “A Sense Of Wonder” is perhaps played too quickly, I like this version a lot. Wish he still played that song live, it’s one of my favorites. Thanks FM!

    I had a different version of this but the sound was poor.
    Even at 256 (yes I can be a bit of a snob!) this
    sounds incredible.

    Yeah so many sources for this – the ‘complete’ original FM broadcast, the less complete Pre-FM from later re-broadcast, and the excellent ‘on stage’ AUD recording. Most important of all it’s Van in ’87, great year, great band, great performance.

    4EF’s stuff is usually good, and working from JTT’s tape suggests this will be well worth a listen!

    If you don’t have this one yet, grab it. It’s one of the best VM shows out there. Sound quality is perfect. There are so many outstanding performances in this show (And The Healing Has Begun, In The Garden, Summertime in England, Rave On John Donne).
    I love hearing after Norther Muse someone in the audience yelling “Get on with it” AND he does get on with it and gives one of the best performances on record.

    Indeed, very nice boot! I compared this to the previous one you posted, and this one sounds indeed a little louder, and the mix slightly better? But that might be a side effect of the amplification, dunno. In any case, it’s great!
