Review from original uploader:
This complete soundboard recording is an upgrade of the already impressive recording that appeared on the 1996 CD release: “Blown Out On The Trail”. The quality here is astounding. Taken from a lower generation source tape, there’s less hiss, far greater dynamic range, and the occasional digital skips that were present on the earlier release are now gone. 1988 was an exceptional year, and this performance shines as the best of the best. The many mouth-watering highlights include an electric arrangement of ‘Gates Of Eden’ and a magnificent ‘You’re A Big Girl Now’. This is, without doubt, an essential listening experience.

  1. Thos one’s a crackerjack boot!! Now if you can find ‘By The Waterfront Docks’ 3rd July 88 (Scorpio boot) the quality is just as special and is also in the ‘must have’ section. I’ve never been able to find it but review is here – http://www.bobsboots.com/CDs/cd-b94.html

I might stick a request in with EDGE at the TUBE. I’ve never been able to find it anywhere

ps please don’t confuse with ‘Old Orchard Beach’ which is an AUD recording

Thanks for keeping the quality boots coming

  2. Is it just me?

FF is not allowing me to download anything. The last two offerings will not go, the usual “wait 30 seconds” download timer just sits and stares at me, never moves.

Is paying a subscription fee required a the factory now?

  3. Eccentric.recluse: I am having the same problem. First experienced it yesterday, 3/25. Am trying to D/L a file mr.TUBE posted via Guitars101. The FileFactory wait timer doesn’t move and the only active click-through on the page is the “Upgrade” button.
Hopefully this is a problem that FileFactory will resolve and not the end of their free-D/L functionality!

  4. Eccentric.recluse: I found this at FF’s support page:

    The browsers FileFactory support are:

    Google Chrome (highly recommended)
    Mozilla FireFox (recommended)
Internet Explorer 9 and above (not recommended)

I am using Safari! I notice that the page with the non-working countdown is not entirely loading in my Safari (loading: 38 of 39 objects complete. Never completes object 39). FF WAS working fine for me, but maybe they made a change that gums up the functionality in my non-FF-recomended browser. Are you also using a non-recommended browser?

  5. No problems with Firefox currently. Remember to untick box for ‘Download with FileFactory’s download manager’. This seems to be the latest thing to watch out for with free hosting services in general

  6. Had the same problem with Safari. Just downloaded & installed Firefox & had no problems. Sound Quality on this is superb. Thanks for this great site!

  7. Well, that did it. Firefox seems to work Ok, but I wonder what the change is/was? Safari was working up until a couple of days ago, (under leopard & Snow Leopard, on two different machines on different ISP’s…).

I can live with the change. Thanks to all and thanks to Mat for the fine uploads!

  8. Having the same FF issue with the no downloading. Guess I’m going to have to switch computers to avoid the safari glitch 😦

  9. For what it’s worth I find the inbuilt download manager in Firefox to by far the fastest and most reliable/stable for downloading as free user from all hosts.
Not familiar with Safari but as for Chrome, well just don’t go there!! I’ve been hassled/cajoled into installing Chrome a few times. Each and every time I have uninstalled again a few days later. Just not something you want or need on your pc. I can only assume the ‘recommended’ label you always see applied to it’s name has more to do with market forces than utility!!

  10. ps Mat, no joy from Mr Edge so far on the 3 July 88. Shame really as it’s the perfect companion volume to this great boot.
Any luck with you? If you check that review you’ll understand why I’m so keen to get my grubby mitts on a lossless copy!

  11. So what is the consensus? File Factory is working except on Safari? Lets give it a few days and see if they don’t fix that glitch. I sure hope File Factory doesn’t crap out on us.

  12. Just loaded FireFox 16.0.2 (for Mac 10.5.8) into my Macbook. The FileFactory timer problem doesn’t happen with FireFox, but it still does with my Safai (5.0.6). FireFox is freely downloadable from Mozilla, including Windows, Unix, and Mac 10.6 versions, and is available in many non-English versions.
Mister Midnight, I like the file access set-up at the FileFactory links, so I hope you stick with them.

  13. The files from this show needed very major amplification from Audacity to make it listenable!!
But thanks for the show anyway!!

  14. Thanks for this.

Is it possible to get “‘By The Waterfront Docks’ 3rd July 88 (Scorpio boot)” as referred to in DylanDave March 27, 2013 at 4:56 am post.
