excellent sound [A-]; has lots of occasional wind noise;
in comparison to LB-0519 this is a different recording (does not have the talking
like at begin of d1t6) and has less hiss and is not as harsh and is complete and
should be considered an upgrade

crowd noises d1t4 2:57, hissing d1t4 3:12, 3:35, d1t5 0:21;
discontinuity pop d1t6 0:38, d2t1 0:00 before music;
has drops within first 15 seconds of most tracks; drop d1t5 0:48

bittorrent download 12/09; lots of limiting and clipping make Bobs vocals very scratchy; different recording than LB-0519, LB-2714 and LB-6513 based on diffferent crowd at end of d1t3; in comparison this is harsher and scratchier than those;

(this is probably the same recording as a bittorrent from 9/06 which was a different recording any of previous recordings and suffered from heavy compression limiting with lots of clipping on Bob’s vocals making them scratchy and harsh so sounded much worse than those; described as “trade audiocd > xACT > flac > azareus > torrent > dime” and originally had 7 filler tracks which were removed); (did not listen to all of this)

  5. Good stuff – 2014 compl looks particularly interesting. I was aware of and familiar with the best recordings, but With so little variation and such consistently good performances, I was really hoping somebody else would put in the ‘hard yards’ and establish the defn versions for each song.

    Of course 66 looks good, but IMHO you really need all of that anyway!

    looking forward to 89 compl – really hoping he puts sufficient emphasis on my favourite era at the end of the year. i have some multi disc tour compls, but they are of the era and i’m sure the best sources have all surfaced by now.

    My local HMV is ram packed with those 61 home recordings etc. Many say not licensed for USA.
