Thanks for this, Mat!
I wish I could understand why a few of the tours I am most interested in, always seem to circulate in lossy form. It is true for Van in 86/87 and another PRIME example would be Tom Waits Raindogs tour from ’85, and also his ’87 tour. I have scoured the planet for years but the situation never seems to change.
Not griping Mat honestly. Anyway I understand that there is no connection or correlation between availability of mp3 and lossless rips.
Thanks anyhow, this era Van is always most welcome in any form. I shall take it to the park and enjot it there where the bitrate will soon be forgotten I’m sure!
It is strange that this happens, and at 192 kps of all things! I suppose in early days it was much simpler to share things at low bitrates, but with broadband nearly everywhere surely whoever owns the lossless files can spread those around now.
