Hey gang, I’m gonna take a break for a little while. This year has taken a toll on my psyche as I’m sure it has yours and I need to back away from this blog and other things for a little bit.
I’ve been thinking about a break for awhile and changes at WordPress have forced it upon me. I won’t go too far into the details but they’ve made me switch to a new editor and I hate it. I can make it work and maybe in time I’ll get used to it, but right now I just want to toss it in the river.
I’m seriously thinking about dropping WordPress all together, but that means I need to find something else. The thought of starting a new blog on another platform is not at all appealing as it would mean recreating all the posts. I may just share my entire Amazon Drive and forget about daily posts altogether. You wouldn’t be able to comment but you could still grab all the shows.
Or I may switch to Google Drive or Mega as they are cheaper than Amazon and would allow you to read the text files before you download. Or maybe I’ll get over my hate of WordPress and things will go back to normal.
I don’t know how long this break will last. I need to let things settle down and think about my next steps. It will be at least a week maybe a few. Don’t worry I still plan to share this music in one way or another.

More than well deserved and understandable about the wear and tear on us all and your frustrations in particular. Never doubt how appreciative how many of us are. Or how much we appreciate the words and text and your voice; all good. So take your time, comeback when you can, and know your fan club out here will be waiting.

Hi Matt. Although our tastes don’t exactly mesh, you put a lot of good stuff. I like how you throw plenty of variety in the mix. Thanks for all. A friend sends out show files using Hightail. I have no idea of the cost but it works really well. Pretty much instant downloads & very large files are no problem. Might be worth checking out for you.

Mat, I also had to change my way of working in WordPress and I hated it just like you. But I got through it and now I really like (switched to Elementor Pro for website creation). Your hard work is really valued so don’t do anything too drastic yet and DO a take much needed break. – Paul
can’t imagine how you do it…a tremendous blessing and gift to my life…if there is anything I can do to help, I will do so gladly…it’s all way over my head…listening to Sir Ivan around the clock…when you are ready, I’d like to confer with you about some work I am doing to commemorate a fraction of what you are doing…..we have much common ground and interest….GET SOME GOOD REST…I recently had a LONG break from most of my AV hobbies due to stress overload and inability to find the clarity to push forward…
