I gotta say everything I’ve heard from this album makes me happy. I’m one of the few people who really love The Skiffle Sessions and I’m totally on board with this sound.

There’s a joyfulness here that I love too. Go Van! I’m back on board, after skipping his last album. In general, his recent-years albums have had plenty of highlights. And live, he’s as good as ever.
I agree Mat. I love the Skiffle Sessions too. If you haven’t heard it, check out the ending of the Hay-On-Wye show from 1999. Van cuts loose skiffle style after the concert technically ends. I can’t wait for the new album personally, but I look forward to every Van release. He’s in great form from the samples so far. Very dynamic sound.

Wonder if he has caught covid yet??????

Thanks. I don’t remember if I’ve listened to that show or not but I will definitely give it a listen now.
No problem, a favorite year of mine for Van. How do you like the album so far?
