One of WUMB’s (UMass Boston) online streams, I believe it is the Contemporary Folk one, plays “Look at Miss Ohio” prolly once a day from an automated playback system – there is never a human voice, or PSA (Public Service Announcement) either for that matter, to be heard. Not complaining, it’s a great song, but I’m glad Gillian & Dave didn’t choose to play it during their visit back in 1995!
That was the song that made me a fan. When my wife and I first got married her folks lived about an hours drive south of us. One weekend we decided to pay them a visit. Actually, ‘m guessing it was the Christmas Holdays because we drove separate and that would make sense (I probably had to work and she was still in school so had a three week break). Anyways on the way down I listened to the local college station and they played “Look at Miss Ohio” and I loved it. When we got to her parent’s house we both excitedly told each other about the song (she had been listening too 🙂
