I found this was the same as a Live at Paris Theatre London 1973 CD I have. However that
seemed to run too slow compared to this…this version (from a blog) sounds like it’s from a transcription disc so I’ve plumped for this one and it seems reasonable to assume the speed is
correct. The balance was off (biased to the right) on the CD so this seemed the logical choice
overall.
Minor de-clicking was carried out…just sometimes Click Repair has the odd adverse effect
on some recordings – I believe this is where there are several frequencies at the similar
level to a vinyl click – so a low setting was selected here and careful vetting of the results which were fine, and where there was any doubt, I did not use de-click.
On googling for the date of this concert, I saw two concerts from 1973 with similar tracklistings
to each other (but not to this one) listed as April and August 1973. However all sources I
have seen – my CD cover, online CD listings – suggest this is also a Paris Theatre concert,
and the acoustics suggest it is to me too.
Any help on confirming the date would be welcome
