I am totally embarrassed to admit that this was my first time seeing this living legend. I didn’t know what to expect due to his age, but I was shockingly suprised. I love the varying arrangements on some of the older songs, and the new stuff is great too. Bob’s voice sounds amazingly good too, and he was in a great mood frequently smiling at the audience. The band is stellar and really tight(like Bob would allow slackers). The mix was great and the crowd around me was one of the best I could have hoped for. I sat between two taper friendly fellows who were very much interested in getting a copy of the show, so they were polite beyond measure. A HUGE thanks to Whotapes who supplied me with the ticket after another double booking snafu with the wifey. I hope this recording will help ease your pain. It’s up front and in your face so definitely crank it up loud!!

Not sure what this will add to the already posted excellent WHOTAPES version, but hey, Lossless Bob needs something to do.  I do think this has a bit more bottom.  It also has a few more people yelling at Bob, and singing along in Blowin’ In The wind.  I was in the front row of the 2nd section near the left wall, and security let people from the cheap seats come down and party up front.  Hey the guy loved Bob so he can’t be a bad guy, I just wish he was on the other side of the hall.  One thing this recording lacks is a right channel.  Before the show I noticed my attenuator was adding some noise to recordings so I removed it.  When I plugged my mics in I did not plug them in all the way, HOW MANY YEARS HAVE I BEEN DOING THIS?, and only got one usable channel.  So I did a direct analog split into the CD recorder.  So yes in the old world of a SPARS code this one is a DAD recording.  I know there were other ways to do this, but I took the fastest route for me.  Sorry.  This doesn’t completely stink.  There is some rustling and distortion at the beginning as I get my act together recording without an attenuator for the first time in I don’t know how long.  Tracks done on the fly.  Enjoy.
