  1. never have been a completest as far as Dylan goes – its too much work and too painful to listen to sometimes – but this just f-ing rocks! And for 66 it doesnt get much better as far as quality goes – good one

  2. This excellent show has always been available in stunning qual ‘Tales of a Mexican Painter’ etc but this relatively recent reel master transfer is well done. You know you are dealing with real R n R history when people get excited about the inclusion of the intermission!

  3. I think we’re incredibly lucky to have these documents
from the 66 tour in such good quality. The quality of the
acoustic sets in particular is excellent.

Dylan offers up some incomparable vocals. My favourite is
probably Desolation Row from Melbourne. Check out the
phrasing, eg, on ‘Bette Davis style’ !

How does he do it ?

The performances are brimming full of such treasures.
Recordings like these are the ESSENTIAL companions to records
like Blonde On Blonde – in the studio he talks the talk, live he
proves he can walk the walk, and that he really was so hip it hurt 🙂

    Great post! thanks

  4. It not only has “intermission” but its got “tuning” too. OMG!!!!!!

I agree Tony we are insanely lucky to have all of these documents available to us. Such incredible music.

  5. The ‘Genuine 66’ box is jusy peachy! insanely good. Sheffield 66 is a superb and very underrated recording from the tour – also the boot ‘Guitars kissing and the contemporary fix’ is a superb recording of the Manchester 66 gig, recorded from an alternative ‘line source’ to the official release. It’s just wild and catches the excitement better.
Great stuff – seek out all if u r able

  6. I just want to say that I have just found this site and I am impressed. This is awesome thank you so much I will be busy for awhile now.Awesome music
