Lossless Bootleg Bonanza: Bob Dylan – Bethlehem, PA (12/13/95)

Dowmload: FLAC/MP3

Very nice quality audience recording from low generation CDR received in trade. As I was concerned about digital flaws described in Lossless Bob,
I have just played this through in headphones and the only problems I can find are a slight crack towards the end of Lay Lay Lady, and light intermittent ‘scraping’
during Dark Eyes which is hardly noticeable until it becomes more persistent in the last 40 seconds of the track. Not fatal by any means.

Have to say this is a thoroughly enjoyable show, with a tremendous ‘Desolation Row’, and a lovely ‘Big Girl’

1. Crash On The Levee (Down In The Flood)
2. Lay Lady Lay
3. All Along The Watchtower
4. You’re A Big Girl Now
5. I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight
6. Silvio (Bob Dylan & Robert Hunter)
7. Mr. Tambourine Man
8. Desolation Row
9. Mama, You Been On My Mind
10. Dark Eyes

11. Seeing The Real You At Last
12. Ballad Of A Thin Man

13. Alabama Getaway (Robert Hunter/Jerry Garcia)
14. The Times They Are A-Changin’
15. Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35

Concert # 752 of The Never-Ending Tour. Concert # 6 of the 1995 Paradise Lost Tour. Concert # 112 in 1995.

  1. Thanks Mat, I have something called an Improved Air Remaster’ of this show in the archives
Incidentally, do you have any plans to post any of the recent US shows. There are floods appearing on g101, but they are all from our old friend WoB and locoweb. As such they are all on Turbobit. aaaaaaaaARGH!!
To make things (even) worse, Turbosh*t has completely locked me out, even under my VPN!
Was fine, haven’t used since grabbing the Van and Tom shows i sent you. Now it just loops around endlessly, then finally counts down, then says my IP is blocked or something, then just starts looping again. Not content with blocking me, it wants to waste my time as well!
I managed to catch up with the spring shows and lots more besides when FF was doin’ a server reset or something of Fri night and dropped all dling restrictions for a while. Has happened before and I always just dive in, ‘Make hay..’ and all that. Of course it always happens in the early hours of the morning. Managed to stay awake until 4.30, then just caved in and also ran out of disk space. As a bonus ‘The Accountant’ on g101 must have had trafficshare to use up! As a result I am boot rich but sleep poor!
Not trying to influence your posting priorities or anhing, am sure however i am not alone in screaming silently. Might be a good opportunity to make some new friends if you come across any on your travels

    1. I have not been grabbing those Dylan shows on Guitars. I try to avoid Turbo as much as possible. I actually just connected with some folks who have almost all of Dylan’s LB#s and they have nicely said I can basically have anything I ask for. I don’t want to ask for everything at once so I’m trying to formulate a plan on which tours I want to tackle first.

Before I even do that though I want to figure out exactly what I already have which is taking some time. I wanted to talk to you about that actually, get your thoughts on some “essential” shows I should post or maybe try to collect some interesting, and maybe not very well circulated tours to collect and post.

  2. This show is kinda badass, but with J.J., Bucky and Winnie I wouldn’t expect anything less. This blog beats the hell out of Dime.

  3. Mat,
yep I hear you. Good way to proceed would be for you to grab really good tour periods that i don’t have completely covered (BUT ARE CONSTANTLY SEEKING!!) eg 1989-10 to 1990-01 and/or 1992 which is a fascinating tour, at times inspired, at other times ragged, but with a real tension and energy in the performances. The tour also contains many of Bob’s best covers, remember that scorpio NET covers set I shared (full of 92 trax).
1993 to 1996 tours are not as interesting but are volumous (particularly ’95) and after that you pretty much know the rest
In exchange for you filling out my collection, I can concentrate on getting some of the really good stuff I have upped for you. Such as the complete set of 2002 Crystal Cats which have been pending for a while
Basically late 89 period would be a really great place to start

  4. Sorry didn’t really finish that thought off. In addition to the 2002 Cry Cats I can also add the 2003s. Plus if you do go for that late 89 option I can provide the Paris Hammersmith shows from feb 90 to tap off that period, then we could explore the very good late 90 period. I have a fair amount of the best stuff and you could tap up your contacts to fill the gaps. These are the most interesting periods of the early N.E.T; and are surprisingly under represented on the boards and blogs

  5. That sounds good to me. I’ll concentrate on organizing my files in those years to see what I have. Then I’ll probably scour the torrents and Expecting Rain to fill in some and then I’ll hit my source for the missing pieces. I’d love to do like I’m doing with the Dead and just put up everything from a particular tour/year/era to fill in the gaps for everyone. My source has basically said I can ask for anything, but I don’t want to push my luck too much so I’m hoping to find most stuff elsewhere and then hit him up when I come up short.

  6. That’s the way to go. Pick a tour leg, get what you can from me, the torrents E Rain etc then fill the gaps. I’ll happily cough up any or all that i have for the chosen leg. I mean it isn’t realistic or even feasible to get even a significant percentage of what we are missing from any one source., and i’ve been searching for decades. I’ll also happily share some of the torrenting load, if you can point me in some good directions. ie. places that don’t have a Dime mentality.
I’ll get some listings together of the shows i have from my archives, for the legs i listed above.
