Very nice quality audience recording from low generation CDR received in trade. As I was concerned about digital flaws described in Lossless Bob,
I have just played this through in headphones and the only problems I can find are a slight crack towards the end of Lay Lay Lady, and light intermittent ‘scraping’
during Dark Eyes which is hardly noticeable until it becomes more persistent in the last 40 seconds of the track. Not fatal by any means.

Have to say this is a thoroughly enjoyable show, with a tremendous ‘Desolation Row’, and a lovely ‘Big Girl’

CD1
1. Crash On The Levee (Down In The Flood)
2. Lay Lady Lay
3. All Along The Watchtower
4. You’re A Big Girl Now
5. I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight
6. Silvio (Bob Dylan & Robert Hunter)
7. Mr. Tambourine Man
8. Desolation Row
9. Mama, You Been On My Mind
10. Dark Eyes

CD2
11. Seeing The Real You At Last
12. Ballad Of A Thin Man

13. Alabama Getaway (Robert Hunter/Jerry Garcia)
14. The Times They Are A-Changin’
15. Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35

Concert # 752 of The Never-Ending Tour. Concert # 6 of the 1995 Paradise Lost Tour. Concert # 112 in 1995.

Concert # 296 with the 9th Never-Ending Tour Band:

Bob Dylan (vocal & guitar),
Bucky Baxter (pedal steel guitar & electric slide guitar),
John Jackson (guitar),
Tony Garnier (bass),
Winston Watson (drums & percussion).

7ñ10, 14 acoustic with the band.

7, 9, 14 Bob Dylan harmonica.

10 Patti Smith (shared vocal).

13 John Jackson backup vocal.

Note. Dylan rarely sings the penultimate verse of Desolation Row (“Praise be to Nero’s Neptune Ö”) but here it is!

8 new songs (53%) compared to previous concert. 6 new songs for this tour.

Stereo audience recording, 115 minutes.

Notes:
– Info on taping gear comes from another list (Tim McKenzie’s?). Microphone information
(but not location) was written on the master cassette J-card, but some question whether it
is correct. Nice tape.
– Pretty good performance, IMO not as good as the night before, though there are some
typically great moments here (lots of fanning, e.g. in 14-min. mark of Simple Twist, around
6-min. mark of Let it Rock, and 7-min. mark of Sugaree).
– d1t04 TWLWMYD mix adjustments first two minutes.
– d1t05 Simple Twist weird banging noise during bass solo.

So the story goes: I answered an ad on Craigslist for 500 free Grateful Dead tapes.
On picking them up from the taper, I’m also informed he and a friend recorded other bands through the 70’s.
These were never circulated, and deemed inferior in quality.
When I inquired about digitizing his masters, he laughingly obliged.
Most of the old Ampex and BASF tapes are in poor shape, several completely off the spool, and many squealing badly.
I will be attempting to bake some of them.
I will be presenting the ones of superior quality only, out of the initial batch he loaned me.
I do believe these shows will be lovingly embraced by the Dime community, and will be shared here exclusively.
