The 1974 PA tape collection upgrade, PA recording (compiled by lk), Source/lineage information: PA recording, best known sources, Lossless transmission from compiler; received as SHN files, There were sector boundary errors on disc 1, which I, fixed with shntool. The SHN files included here are the, fixed files; the MD5 file corresponds to these files, so it is not the same as the original MD5.
excellent sound; has heavy tv band and one at 8k on d1t13; this is same as LB-0619 fixing track gaps; in comparison to bootleg Poet and the Players that has a warmer sound;
(a bittorrent from 02/09 has flac fingerprint same as this shntool wav hash on d1t2; description is generic with “(evening) (line)” with filenames like “MSG 31 Jan 74 E-1\D1\Track02.flac” )
From LK:
The main thing to note is that this set sorts out the mess that the bootleggers have made of the PA tracks. None of the annotations of the PA sources are accurate, and indeed none of them are even complete. I refer to “Before and After the Flood‟, “Bittersweet”, “Paint the Daytime Black”, Poet and the Players” etc. The quality of these tracks is better than any of the bootlegs as well (imho), as they are not derived from bootlegs.

Lineage: >>thanks LK< CDR > EAC > Flac [from lk aud set].
LosslessBob entry: LB-2697.very good sound [B-]; not a lot above 8k. small gaps between tracks
Fix of LB-2697: Wave Repair 4.9.3 to remove leading/trailing digital silences and index gaps between all tracks. Instances [p-] reported by DFF are music related [drum beats etc] > FLAC, sector align
Great quality sets! Thanks so much! As you say in the notes quite the best version of these concerts and I agree. Better than the others I have for sure. Thanks Mat!
thanks
