  1. Cheers for the upgrade to my old traded tape from the time Mat. I was there (front and centre) and remember Van high kicking Last Waltz style during ‘Max Wall’. That was early in a truly great day of music at Glastonbury. I wonder whether the taper also caught the Waterboys set from a bit later. I only have a pretty lousy tape of that one which I acquired from a boot seller at Camden Market a few weeks later. I have thrown everything at that (more than once) but would really love to find a recording worthy of the performance one day.

    • glad to see you commenting again around these parts DylanDave. I’ll certainly keep my eye out for that waterboys set, but if you’ve never found it I doubt that I will.
