Cheers for the upgrade to my old traded tape from the time Mat. I was there (front and centre) and remember Van high kicking Last Waltz style during ‘Max Wall’. That was early in a truly great day of music at Glastonbury. I wonder whether the taper also caught the Waterboys set from a bit later. I only have a pretty lousy tape of that one which I acquired from a boot seller at Camden Market a few weeks later. I have thrown everything at that (more than once) but would really love to find a recording worthy of the performance one day.
glad to see you commenting again around these parts DylanDave. I’ll certainly keep my eye out for that waterboys set, but if you’ve never found it I doubt that I will.
Thanks for this Mat!
