Wet Leg on their first national headlining tour. I believe this was the 4th date
of their tour and quite possibly the smallest room they are playing on this run.
Most cities were upgraded to 900+ venues due to high demand. Unfortunately,
Promowest did not have the Newport available, so the show remained in the A&R.
The tickets went onsale back on December 3rd and sold out immediately. The hype
around Wet Leg is most definitely deserved as their live show is tremendous.
They create such a fun party atmosphere on stage smiling and laughing throughout
while having the crowd dancing the entire time. The sing along during lead single,
“Chaise Longue” was pretty awesome, too. The sound is never the best in the A&R,
but I had polite neighbors and with a little EQ, I believe this now sounds better
than it did in the A&R! I had a loud talker to my immediate right during the opener
and poliety asked him between bands to be mindful of my recording (showing him my
rig) and he actually obliged remaining quiet for the Wet Leg’s entire set. That
never happens! Especially given how tight it was being sold out. Thanks, random
tall guy from Michigan!

Lowertown opened [not recorded].
