NOTES-

Last but not least. Sorry for the delay, life gets in the way sometimes. This one took some care as there was some noise (and still is at loud volumes) in the interview and readings at times so I tried to minimize those as best as I could. Its much improved from the master.

My brother had a great trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. He recorded all 4 shows that Van performed that week (his idea!!). The 17th, 18th, 19th and 21st were all performed at the Culloden Resort, which is a stunning place. This is the last of the 4 nights he played and featured a unique program with a live interview of Van, some readings of his songs and then Van playing a short set
with the full band at the end. For his first real taping adventure, he did extremely well.

The shows were small, 300 or so, in a dinner ballroom type setting. A beautiful room. This literary finale was great fun, although why someone didnít immediately fix the distortion that resulted from Vanís drooping mic rubbing against his suit and collar is beyond me (interview). Nice surprises all night long. The cherry on top!

Merry Late Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. Enjoy!

NOTES-

Once again, the internal mics captured the show quite well. These mics were pretty sensitive so the levels were good on the recording. Very minor vocal/low end bursts and the bass was really thick as my Bro was sitting close to the PA this night. I cut the lows and I think it sounds pretty nice now.

My brother had a great trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. He recorded all 4 shows that Van performed that week (his idea!!). The 17th, 18th, 19th and 21st were all performed at the Culloden Resort, which is a stunning place. Night one and two are up already, the last one should come quicker than this one. Each unique and each taped from different locations. For his first real taping adventure, he did extremely well. The shows were small, 300 or so, in a dinner ballroom type setting. A beautiful room. Another exceptional show. “In the Afternoon” reaching new heights in a deeply emotional coda. My bro’s table mate was in tears. Everything on here expertly performed. Complete confidence and commitment from Van. The setlists continue to be diverse and high energy and the last show is a real treat IMO, so the something to look forward too. Enjoy!!!

NOTES-

The internal mics captured the show quite well. These mics were pretty sensitive so the levels for the most part were good on the recording. Very minor vocal bursts that bricked slightly that I couldn’t do much with. They are pretty infrequent.

My brother had a great trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. He recorded all 4 shows that Van performed that week (his idea!!). The 17th, 18th, 19th and 21st were all performed at the Culloden Resort, which is a stunning place. Night one is up already, the other two coming in short time. Each unique and each taped from different locations. For his first real taping adventure, he did
extremely well. The shows were small, 300 or so, in a dinner ballroom type setting. A beautiful room. Van got down to business this night with an appreciative crowd who got to see a deep set list and some excellent workshops. Morrison finished “In the Afternoon” with a new reverie that could have gone on forever. Something for everybody here. Morrison showcasing all his strengths. The setlists are diverse and high energy and the last show a real treat IMO. Enjoy!!!

NOTES from the original uploader

The internal mics captured the show quite well. These mics were pretty sensitive so the levels
for the most part were good on the recording and nearly maxed. I balanced the channels only
and ran a tiny bit of EQ over the whole file.

My brother had a great trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. He recorded all 4 shows that Van
performed that week (his idea!!). This show, plus the 18th, 19th and 21st, were all performed
at the Culloden Resort, which is a stunning place. The other three are coming in short time.
Each unique and each taped from different locations. For his first real taping adventure, he did
extremely well. The shows were small, 300 or so, in a dinner ballroom type setting. A beautiful
room. This first gig concentrated on the hits for a party crowd. It is the appetizer for the 3 great
shows to follow. The setlists are diverse and high energy and the last show a real treat IMO. Enjoy!!!
