1chucho notes:

8th night of the Chrome Dreams II tour, November 6, 2007. The core acoustic setlist on this tour is an excellent example of pacing and counterpoint. True to Neil Young fashion it all flows together as one song. This night’s performance is particularly satisfying. Hank into Ambulance, Sad Movies and Maid all blend together beautifully though each song is distinct in its own right. And he throws in the story of the gatecrasher Boulder show from the 1971 tour. The electric set is a bit less satisfying-a little overly bassy in the mix. The Loner is kind of a trainwreck and DOM is still in the setlist. Oh well. Overall though, a solid recording and performance.

Taped and shared by Duckman2 (thanks!). I ripped my CD-Rs using dBpoweramp and created new checksums with TLH. No artwork, sorry. Original infofile(s) included.

Finally, get Americana and see Neil and Crazy Horse on tour this fall wherever you can!

Enjoy,
1chucho

FIXES AND NOTES:
This is an upgrade of shnid 3903. Unknown data base lineage.
Could be one or two additional gens. I am guessing.
Shnid 3903 has heavy handed EQ and NR applied, and it has been
corrected as much as possible.
Vocals were extremely “Hot” and are slightly distorted. Have now
been attenuated to match band for proper levels balance.
Pitch on all tracks was adjusted and is now correct…play along.
This is an extremely scarce show and I could not locate an aud to
use for patches. Overall, a big improvement…Enjoy.

Disc 1, track 1 – 1st verse missing
Disc 2, track 2 – fades out
Disc 2, track 6 – “Space” missing

Very good audience recording, but INCOMPLETE.

low gen aud cass > dat > dat > cdr > macintosh > xACT 1.5b3 > wav
> xACT 1.5b3 > flac

Goody’s additional lineage and comments:
dBpoweramp (WAV) > Audition (Pitch Bender, various amounts; minor tracking fixes) > Trader’s Little Helper (FLAC Level 8, ffp)
There are still pitch fluctuations due to the impossibility to recreate and correct the exact amount of the gradually changing pitch in some of the tracks.

This thing was insanely fast/sharp and sped up/became even more sharp in a couple of the tracks, most likely due to cheap gear and the ‘dying battery syndrome’. It’s been tamed to the best of my ability for this brand new edition.
A real thrill ride in more ways than one, as you’ll hear. Hope y’all enjoy the results now!
