Fixed LB-1219

There are a lot of LB numbers but likely only two sources: LB-0422, LB-1219, LB-3730, B-7094, and LB-8251 are the same – and LB-9060 is another.

Blindwilly posted LB-9060 in Nov. ’13. Before that, knockingman posted LB-7094, also called “Don’t Turn A Slow Waltz Into Techno,” which includes a bunch of bonus tracks, in March ’12. shinsuke posted a SHN > WAV > FLAC conversion of LB-1219 (cb master) in ’05.

If you have the cb master or one of its many variations, then you probably are good here. The variations appear to sound better or worse, or have more errors and flaws or fewer. For most, it’s a draw. I just prefer LB-1219 of the lot. LB-9060 comes in sixth place for me.

The problem I have with LB-1219 is that the track labeling is not according to DIME standards and the headers have extra RIFF chunks. I hate too many RIFF chunks. So I fixed everything and converted it all back to SHN. I did not monkey with the audio otherwise. So if you are fond of the warm, dulcid tones of this version, they are still here.

Same disc-split as LB-5018, but I think this sound slightly better than a B- (most likely same source though…)

very good to excellent sound [B] not much above 16k except noise;

(a bittorrent from 04/09 is a close eac match on d1t1 but has more discontinuity flaws and had digi-pops at beginning of d2t1; described as “Unidentified taper; Source/Lineage: no info” with filenames like “CD1\01 Roving gambler.flac”);

(a bittorrent from 06/10 seems same as 04/09 torrent; xref-00419)
drop/cut between cdrs; discontinuities near track boundaries

Sorry about not having the full set list. Etree doesn’t have it and my quick google searching didn’t turn anything up. These are all full songs with names and lyrics, but I’m too lazy to really figure them out. If somebody can figure them out, please do post.

Otherwise this is another fine show from Merl Saunders. Lots of good groovy rock and roll.  The sound is decent, it is definitely an audience recording but it isn’t too muddled.
