  1. Hi,

I have one general comment: do you have to be so damn precise in naming your files in such open way?
Couldn’t you use abrevation forms or any kind of code like it’s done by TUBE or The Clock That Went…?
I think that is not wise to be so open nowdays.
Anyway, thanks for excellent blog eventhough it’s scary to download from you.
    Best,
    Greg

  2. {shaking my head}

Hey Greg! It sounds like you are new at this stuff, so here’s some advice. Here’s the general way downloading from wonderful blog sites like this one goes.

First – how about a thank you? Mat, FreeMorrison, Raoul and others put a lot of work & love into these posts.

Second – Your comments make no sense.

Third – how about another thank you?

FreeMorrison, this is an awesome post – thanks as always. Cheers!

  3. Well Greg’s got a point,,,,,,,kind of?

A year ago – YES – you would not see a Van Morrison Bootleg being shared so freely with bright lettering. (LOL)

What has happened Greg is the Web Sheriff no longer works for Van Morrison and Exile Productions. It’s open season for sharing of Van Shows.

This was one of the turning points where Matt and I –
in a way became closer friends as I emailed him and informed him the day that Van fired the Web Sheriff.

Now what would be stupid would be to upload an official release like – The Super High Material Japanese Remastered Astral Weeks.

Even when the Web Sheriff was pulling down Van Bootlegs (something you don’t see anymore) – we used to upload them under other names like “The Belfast Cowboy”.
I believe this is what you are mentioning in your comment Greg, that maybe renaming them would not bring unwanted attention?

But I am precise – because the Van Community is enormous, and they are used to things being accurate.
The number of bootlegs shared daily via cyber space is incredible – and the quality is better than ever before.

So relax – click the link – The Web Sheriff has no interest in Van Morrison anymore.
    Enjoy some new Van.

  4. Hi,
you are right in matter of “thanks” but… I didn’t download from here due to the above.
In various countries things work differently or are theated differently. Here there are offices representing records companies. They are not going into details, If their scans catch particular names of artists being under their “protection” then the computer which according to them steals “their property” becomes their target. Not a pleasant thing, believe me.
Thant’s why coding or abrevations are better, believe me.

  5. Sorry, it looks like I misunderstood what you were saying, Greg. It just bugs me to see a great post and then what appears to be a complaint… 🙂

Anyways, thanks again for this one FM, it’s a great one!

  6. Are these the same tracks issued on the “Precious Time” CD Single? And the “Cleaning Windows” from the Perfect Fit CD Single? If so, then Cleaning Windows is from the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco on December 17, 1993. Just wondering as the latter track did seem familiar.

  7. Here’s the info I got from our good friend “InTheGarden”
who by the way emailed this info prior to my uploading this one – and I must have missed the email. Doh!
    OK Here it is>

Track 5 is “Cleaning Windows/The Street Only Knew Your Name”, an outtake from the live album “A Night in San Francisco”. Recorded 17 December 1993 at the Masonic Auditorium, San Francisco.

Like the other tracks it was released on a cd-single (Perfect Fit; 1995) and later included on the 2008 remaster of “A Night in San Francisco”. Clearly an outtake, it’s a hurried / messy performance.

Thanks, these are excellent. They appear to be the same songs from the “Live!: Live Performances on CD”; if so that would make Cleaning Windows from San Francisco, 12/17/93.
