Yikes, thanks MZ. I’ll have to copy into ‘Word’ or such and have a proper look later. I was familiar with some of it, but not all, and in particular the early sessions which I’ve never come across traded on tape or CDR. On first glance then this is a compl of highlights from 2 studio radio sessions from 86 & 87.
Your info also confirms my thoughts that the 1990-02-19 Barbican session which I recorded from BBC R3 (a classical station primarily) broadcast one saturday lunchtime soon after, was in fact edited highlights of Van’s set and also includes the last track ‘To You (Thad Jones)’ which i’ve always assumed is wthout Van. You can’t really tell from the broadcast, I guess he could be joininig in on 3rd sax or something.
