Van Morrison – Days Like This Live

Van Morrison
Days Like This Live
A Compilation

  1. Perfect Fit (September 16, 1995; Windsor Hall, Bournemouth, England)
  2. Russian Roulette (January 20, 1998; WaMu Theatre at Madison Square Garden, New York)
  3. Raincheck (June 17, 1996; Point Theatre, Dublin)
  4. You Don’t Know Me-with Shana Morrison (September 29, 1994; Muziekcentrum Vredenburg, Utrecht, the Netherlands)
  5. No Religion (December 17, 1995; Point Theatre, Dublin)
  6. Underlying Depression (July 14, 1995; Long Marston Airfield, Stratford-upon-Avon, England)
  7. Songwriter (July 1, 1995; Jones Beach Amphitheatre, Wantagh, New York)
  8. Days Like This (August 6, 2017; Park Den Brandt, Antwerp, Belgium)
  9. I’ll Never Be Free-with James Hunter (March 10, 2004; Barbican Centre, York, England)
  10. Melancholia (June 24, 1998; NEC Arena, Birmingham, England)
  11. In The Afternoon/Ancient Highway/Get On Up (May 23, 2003; Gerrard AOL Marquee, Hay-on-Wye, England)

A few of these songs were played quite sparingly and generally only for a short period directly after the album was released in June, 1995. Consequently, some tracks are of less than stellar quality and, for those, it was because the selection was extremely limited.

Many thanks and much appreciation for all the tapers, masterers and seeders for making this sort of thing possible.

Special thanks to prb for being a font of knowledge and clarity and the provider of those rarely-played harder-to-finds.

Factory Pressed Bootleg CD

AMCOS – CS 015

Notes and review by Richard Hodgetts:
This album contains soundboard quality material from possibly 4 sources. Tracks 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7 appear to come from the 1986 Greek Theatre material as it duplicates the Greek material on This is an Unlicensed Recording of Van Morrison (Amcos SW86). Tracks 3 & 5 are from It’s Too Late To Stop Now and tracks 9 & 10 are from the 1984 Montreux material (Summertime in Montreux and others). Track 8 is “Caravan” lifted directly from The Last Waltz. Because of it’s good soundboard quality and it’s strong set list, this is a superb disc to add to any VM collection. Nothing to disappoint here.
