From the original uploader:
Here, somewhat belatedly, is the first European show, and arguably the first show of the tour proper.

I was there and it was an amazing show, real fun, with a very eager audience.

The title is a reference to the correct pronunciation of “McGrath”. He explains how he was chastised about this in the intro, which is at the end of the track with ‘My Oklahoma Home’. The pronunciation regressed on the subsequent BBC concert, so while the setlist may not be unique, this show may be only one with him getting that surname right!

The sound quality is ok, but could do with some improvement. Rather than fiddle with it, I have left this exactly as on the CD-Rs, so someone with better software and mixing skills will have an untainted source. If someone would like to do a remix, here are some areas in need of attention:
* The volume level is low and need normalising.
* May need more bass.
* There is some hiss on ‘s’ sounds, I noticed this on ‘My City of Ruins’

Review from Van-the-Man:
This is an excellent sounding audience recording of a great show. Very impassioned performances. The artwork, as you would expect from Tonight Only, is superb. It features a poster from the actual show and images from outside the Olympia Theater.

From the original uploader:
An excellent show from Van & his band.

I taped this from Row G right under the right hand stack. Crowd around me were quiet and apart from the bloke in front of me talking to his Mrs once or twice the only other thing to be aware of is me coughing – I’d a tickly cough all day and forgot to get a bottle of water. It’s not too bad but it’s there.

In my humble opinion this is the best recording I’ve ever made in the Point/O2/3 Arena.

For the old fashioned amongst us who still burn to disc I’d suggest splitting
after Talk Is Cheap.

I know that I previously stated I wouldn’t be uploading anymore Van Morrison boots because I kept getting legal threats, and actually this is still technically true. I didn’t upload this show. My friend FreeMorrison did and he assures me that the Web Sheriff who was responsible for those threats is no longer working for Van and thus the threats should no longer exist. I’m hoping that’s true which is why I’m posting this, but again I am not hosting this show, nor did I upload it, so I’m just linking to it.

All shout-outs go to FreeMorrison though for this incredible sounding show. He sent me another one an as soon as Megaupload lets me grab the link I’ll throw it up.
