Hi to all
Welcome to my series of mostly uncirculated masters & very low generation shows that i recorded or received in trades in my younger days most of my masters
have not been circulated or only traded once or twice i used to trade a lot in the 70s – 80s & i have many many shows well in excess of 7,500 tapes
Of these shows about 120 – 150 are my masters they where always on my trading list but not many got traded so i boxed them all up in the late 80s now i have
decided to go through them & upload some of them.
I recorded many bands from Genesis ñ Bowie ñ Springsteen – Hawkwind – Hackett ñ Gabriel ñ Marillion plus many many others i will try & upload a least
one show a week if not two.
To record theses shows i used a Sony portable hand held tape recorder with built in stereo mics. I always used good quality tapes to record on mainly T.D.K.
I used to insert the tape deck in a empty coffee flask with the inside taken out of the flask to get past the security ah those where the days.
The only thing i ask is please donít sell these recording & donít convert to mp3 etc & if you do ( only for your own use ). Please donít change any of the files or
info files etc this is so that people can tell the difference between this source & other sources as many people like to compare different versions of shows.
Also please do not remaster these shows the reason for this is these days there are far to many remasters of shows. Its ok have one remaster etc, but some are
remastered that many times by different people there can be at least 10 different remasters of a show from the same source & it can get a bit tedious.

On to the show for your enjoyment Davros archives presents :-

TRACKS:-

  1. SAN JACINTO.
  2. RED RAIN.
  3. SHOCK THE MONKEY.
  4. FAMILY SNAPSHOTS.
  5. NO SELF CONTROL.
  6. MERCY STREET.
  7. THIS IS THE PICTURE.
  8. THE FAMILY AND THE FISHING NET.
  9. DON’T GIVE UP.
  10. BIGTIME.
  11. LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME.
  12. SLEGDEHAMMER.

There is a version of this show on the movement database that has three extra tracks but it is only rated as a quality C+
This version i would say is a slight upgrade on that to poss a B or B+ there is still some hiss and a annoying hum but this
seems to be a clearer version and less distortion. I got this version in the early 90s in a trade so hopefully it will be a
upgrade.

Many many thanks to the trader for sending me a copy & for taping the show.

I hope you enjoy this show please ask if you want to upload it to other sites as i will be uploading these shows to a couple of other torrent sites.

As Usual Please dont convert to mp3 ( only for your own use if you do ) Please Keep all the info files md5 etc in the folder tis is so that
other collectors know which version this is etc most of all DO NOT SELL
Please also buy the bands offical stuff and support them etc.
Thanks to all the Artists for there great music and to all the traders for keeping live music alive

This show came to me with no information on its Gen….

Linage: CDR (Gen??) > Amadeus II > WAV > xACT > FLAC

The fourth show of the Dortmund Westfalenhalle shows in
Germany.

Track splits on both disks sorted out.

Then an MDA electronic stereo effect was added, this does not mean that
the show will sound that split between the two channels, but it can add a fuller sound if used in small amounts.

Thats it, I hope that you enjoy the show.

Notes:
This release started off as a fun project. I started to experiment with different snippets from many early Pink Floyd Songs and tried to seperate single instruments from those pieces.
The original idea was to make a LP-side long suite from Embryo.
This idea was dropped later when someone (god bless him) suggested the ÑBirmingham Suiteì to reconstruct as a studio recording.
Obviously the Floyd had been working on two suites at the beginning of 1970, which both contained rejected material from the Zabriskie Point sessions, one being what later became ÑAtom Heart Motherì, the other one being the Birmingham Suite. This second one was dropped from the setlist after a few shows because it obviously was not strong enough to become an early Floyd classic (but even more obviously became an early Floyd collectors’ classic because it was played so rarely and even never was properly taped). But what could it have sounded like, if Pink Floyd had not dropped it and had recorded it in studio?

A few words on song titles: The work title of ÑIn The Skyì was ÑVibes/Organ/Birdsì. After having completed this album we at MQR thought it might be nice to rename it. ÑIn The Skyì sounded very nice and was kept for this reason. Absolutely no idea if Pink Floyd would have given it a similar title. In the end they didnët even play it that way…
We knew about the Birmingham Suite being referred to as ÑHalcyon Piano in Niagara Dellofì but we didn’t like that title and there is no evidence for this title being an original band idea.
So we sought after a title that referred to something to eat just as the other suite’s working title ÑThe Amazing Puddingì, that would later become the almost equally stupid titled ÑAtom Heart Motherì.
After a few attempts like ÑZabriskie Stewì ÑZabriskie Soupì WRomanus came up with the fantastic and inimitably stupid ÑZabriskie Roastbeefì…
