band members as far as I can tell:

Waylon Jennings: vocals, guitar
Gordon _ :guitar, vocals, harmonica Kyle _ : keyboards
Ralph Mooney: pedal steel guitar
Duke __ :bass
Richie Albright: drums

Notes: pretty good soundboard tape – could be the master or a dub from the master; the audience is distant and some instruments are isolated to one channel but all in all a nice and listenable recording.
Someone throws a rock at the stage but no one is harmed, and Waylon seems to be having a good time anyway.

Waylon Jennings – Dallas, TX (08/xx/75)

Waylon Jennings
Electric Ballroom
Dallas, Texas (Early Show)
Late August, 1975

In 2006 I shared a number of Waylon shows and have fallen into a few more from a big Waylon collector, this one comes from the same source of all the others I shared.

This is a regional radio broadcast from KAFM/KRLD Dallas of the early show, the 1st night of a 2 night stand Waylon played at the Electric Ballroom.

I have not been able to date this to the exact night but it appears to be from Late August.

Waylon was on a extensive national tour in support of ‘Dreaming My Dreams’ which was released in June, 1975. He was in Maine in early August documented on a circulating SB from Sugarloaf, Maine dated August 2nd.

I found a small article from the Houston Chronicle with a short blurb about him playing 2 nights at Liberty Hall in Houston, one of these dates was August 28th.

On Jimmy Buffet’s site there is a mention he opened for Waylon at the Wild West Music Festival in Austin on August 31.

Looking at the way most bands tour Texas, if coming from the North, they would play Dallas, Houston then Austin and not Houston, Austin then Dallas though that is possible it’s not very economical for a touring band.

With that evidence I would date this show sometime between August 24-27.

YOUNG NOBLES OF ROCK

A celebrated Queen show considered to be one the high-points of the band’s storied career, this is the final show of the ‘Sheer Heart At
tack’ tour. This comes from the Tarantura bootleg ‘Young Nobles of Rock’. There are five (!) different audience sources for this show and this is taken from the so-called ‘Mister Peach’ tape. It sounds superb. Rare numbers such as ‘Hangman’, ‘Doing All Right’ and ‘Great King Rat’ are played. You need this.

NOTES:
I decided to incorporate Diamonds On My Windshield and Spare Parts into a single track, despite that the back cover lists side B as tracks B1 – B5.
The condition of this vinyl bootleg was MINT when I played it back for digital transfer. There were only one or two pops, which I removed.
The exact date of this performance is unknown, but etree is claiming the date is from some point in February of 1975, so that’s what I’m going with (see link below).
Contrary to what the back cover says about the location of this recording, The Troubadour is technically located in West Hollywood, not Los Angeles.
Asylum Records released their own official compilation album entitled ‘Bounced Checks’, which does not contain anything from this recording.
