OldNeumanntapr Notes; This was the only year that the nationwide New Year’s Eve Grateful Dead FM broadcast was simulcast in San Luis Obispo County. After recording the December 27th and 28th Dead shows at the Oakland Coliseum, we returned home to Morro Bay and prepared for the NYE show. I don’t remember the model number of my old Sansui stereo receiver, but I used it along with my Sony TC-153SD cassette recorder to tape the broadcast. It was nice being able to record the Dead from the comfort of my apartment, with a refrigerator full of beer and a bathroom down the hall! Oh, and other party favors were handy as well. 🙂
The next shows that we would record were two of the February 1988 Henry J. Kaiser run in Oakland.
Do NOT Convert To MP3. Enjoy! Share freely, don’t sell, play nice, don’t run with scissors, etc. 😉
