OldNeumanntapr Notes-
This was a stealth show that I recorded with my Neumann KM-184s, that I ended up selling soon after to purchase the Neumann SKM-140 set with active cables. It was just too difficult to stealth record with the KM-184s and their bulky XLR cables. In those days I had really long hair, which I would wear down to cover the microphones. I ran the KM-184s on a T-Bar that I held in front of my head. I remember this show well. I always enjoyed David Lindley’s stories between songs. This was also the show that I saw Jackson Browne outside in the courtyard before the show. I didn’t want Jackson to see the recording gear that I had so I walked around him on my way into the theatre.
(Feb. 2016 ONT Notes- This is a complete remaster, starting with a fresh digital transfer of the master DAT by Terry Watts, and following with additional post processing by Dennis Orr. Thanks to both of you! I think it sounds better than the previous version. This version has no CD generation, so split into discs as you see fit.)
