comments:
I recieved this in trade on a CD, as 17 tracks.
roll another number and too far gone were one
track, and this note and the needle were also
one track, so I’ve made a track for each song,
since there was a stoppage of play between them.
I didn’t listen to this much before, because
it didn’t sound that good. Apparently that was
because it needed DC offset, and level balancing.
so I applied DC offset and balanced the levels
out, now it sounds considerably better and
pretty enjoyable. I don’t know if this is the
full show but the songs here are all there.
thanks much to musicjaime for providing
this recording. he didn’t record it, thanks to
whoever did. they did a nice job, not much crowd
and a decent recorder and mikes, Neil comes through
clearly throughout the show. I’m pretty sure he did
play rockin’ ITFW twice in the show. He did that in
a few of the 89 Freedom shows.
Do not sell this recording.
Not even God can sell freedom.
Trade freely and losslessly.

The recent great Santa Barbara upload of schwinn reminded me, I have an excellent show from this period to share for you as well.
It’s for those of you, who missed it last time around.
It was upped here by me before 2 years ago, and was snatched 178 times between April 2007 and September 2008.

For the reseed the flac-files remained unchanged, I just created a new txt-file and a new file integrity signature list.

lineage: low gen tape-cdr-trade-cdr-eac-flac-dimeadozen-you
(the transfer to cd then might even have been from mastertape or 1st gen).

Thanks to Tom at Sugar Mountain

I got this very nice recording in a trade a couple of years ago ago. The sound is excellent.

Enjoy! Please do not sell or encode to mp3. Never ever!!!

and GOTR

I was asked to put it up here, so there’s another one from my collection, which I got in a postal trade a couple of years ago.
I don’t have any information about the source, sorry. Here it is, as I got it. Besides encoding to flac, no changes on the recording was done by me.

This recording is a bit rough at the end, but as this is not widely circulated, I think it’s worth offering here.
Please notice, that in Rockin’ In The Free World, On Broadway and Tonight’s The Night there are several small distortions. Might be the result of some mic fixing problems, but I really don’t know.
Anyway, nothing serious, quite listenable though…and you have the chance to listen to Wrecking Ball, which wasn’t played very often.
This was a great show of a phantastic tour.

GOTR says about the venue “East End Markets”, Sugar Mountain mentions “Apollo Stadium”. Maybe someone can enlighten me, if it’s the same?

Your comments, on the quality, as well, are very welcome.
Now it’s your turn!

Enjoy! Please do not sell or encode to mp3. Never ever!!!

notes:
– DAT from the Dutch Masters Archives
– “FK” tape
– Transfer: DAT played on Sony DTC-790 deck -> S/PDIF cable -> Terratec
Aureon 5.1 soundcard -> Adobe Audition -> WAV -> CDWave -> WAV -> FLAC
– Mastering done in Adobe Audition; pitch raised +0.45 semitone, converted
to 44.1kHz. Some bass was added with BBE Sonic Maximizer. Some loud
clicks and pops repaired.
– Tape flips are: before Too Far Gone, before Cocaine Eyes (set change),
and just before the band introductions.
– Known issues: There are a number of microphone problems on the original
tape, mostly minor dropouts and the start of each set. Unfortunately, a
few seconds are missing from the beginning of Too Far Gone, and during
the intro there is a 24 second dropout on the right channel as well
(sounds like a disconnected microphone cable).
– But don’t let these flaws fool you, this is an awesome show with a very
rare acoustic Ordinary People which lasts over 10 minutes! This is the
last known performance of the song.
– There’s also a rare Wrecking Ball, and a Boxcar on this show.
