Hi Dylan fanatics,
i have only fixed the phase on this version, that already was pitch corrected(By Claus). There was that anoying effect like when you are listening to a tape that was recorded with Dolby, but you are listening without Dolby. That kinda “shwoshh” effect in the high end. You can hear it well on cymbals.
This is actually a quite good recording and now it`s even better. No EQ was done!
And i have returned the regular title : “True Confessions For Carol” and found better quality artwork on the net. I made new checksum and all with TLH.

Notes from the original uploader:

Right a year or so ago I ripped this originally via a lossy minidisc lineage.
Well here better late than never is a true lossless version.
It does sound better than via minidisc, so for those that want it here it is.
The only processing that has been done to this is click & crackle removal,
other than that it is untreated.
There is still some vinyl noise present, especially on tracks 1 – 8 (side A of LP),
did what I could to bring it to an exceptable level.

There are problems with this LP:

01. “How Soon Is Now” has John Peel talking at the end, I have left it as it is.
02. “Half A Person” has “issues” for the first 5 seconds this is partly the recording/transfer & the failings of Vinyl.
This is how it is i’m afraid with this version nothing I can do.
03. “Still Ill” cuts off abruptly @ 2:20, this is how it is on the LP,
no idea why other than to speculate they cut it to fit all the tracks on the LP?
If anyone knows why please tell!

From the original uploader:
*This recording is purported to come from an FM ReelMaster. The sound quality is quite excellent, and this may very well be an appropriate lineage. The comparison to “Smoking Blues” reveals that this recording is brighter and cleaner, to my ears. You may find that its not an upgrade. caveat listener.danlynch 2004-08-17

Stage Banter by Tom Pratt.
A good soundboard with some slight hiss.
This is a great show from the second leg of the Who’s Next 1971 US tour. The performance is probably one of the best of the year, the stage banter is silly as usual and the sound is pretty good. Not perfect for a soundboard recording but Who soundboards from this era are very rare so this one is worth checking out.
